Course Description
This course examines the political careers and personal lives of the men who have occupied the office of President of the United States from George Washington to Joe Biden. Students will gain an understanding of how the American presidency has changed over time and its relationship to the larger political, social, economic, and diplomatic trends that have shaped the course of United States history. Special attention will be paid to those presidential administrations that have significantly changed the course of American foreign policy or domestic affairs.
