Publications

Student publications include The Carroll News, the student newspaper, and The Carroll Review, the literary magazine.  The Carroll News (online at www.carrollnews.org) is open to any student who wants to try journalism, regardless of their background or experience.  Students join by attending any Thursday evening staff meeting (an online schedule will be published each semester, since some weeks there is no meeting) or by contacting the editor-in-chief, whose name and email are listed in every edition.  The newsroom is located in the Lombardo Student Center, lower level.  Students are invited to sign up for a one-credit Journalism Boot Camp to learn the tools, techniques and resources for writing and editing Carroll News stories and/or the Journalism Experiential Learning course, which offers one academic credit for writing or editing regularly for the paper during a single semester.
