University Writing Center

The Writing Center is a free academic resource staffed by Graduate Assistants in the English department and undergraduate students from all majors across the university. Consultants offer assistance in a tutorial format to all students, faculty, staff, and alums of the University. With its primary location in the O'Malley Center (as well as an online presence), the aim of the Writing Center is to help students become better writers through the creation and revision of all types of writing assignments. Writers can request assistance at any stage of the writing process, and for assignments from any discipline (or even for documents that are not connected to a course, like personal statements or cover letters). Appointments are typically 30 or 60 minutes, and the Center is open throughout the week and occasionally in the evening or on the weekend.
