Employs approaches from the fields of history and literature to examine the impact empire-building has had on societies that experienced (and, in some cases, continue to experience) sectarian conflict related to imperialism. Case studies might include, but are not limited to, South Africa, Northern Ireland, India, and Israel/Palestine.Crosslisted with EN 231.Prerequisite: EN 125 or equivalent.
