Course Description

Discussion of classic and contemporary theories and research on stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, and intolerance. Emphasis on how the insidious nature of implicit prejudice and stereotyping may unknowingly perpetuate social inequality, even for individuals who genuinely do not perceive themselves as prejudiced or biased. Prerequisite: PS 100 or PS 101. Offered: Fall.
