Course Description
Focuses on anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. How psychologists diagnose and treat those with an eating disorder. Also, etiological models of eating disorders that focus on genetic/biological, environmental, and socio-cultural (e.g., media) influences. Medical complications of eating disorders and the role of the physician, dietician, and nutrition in addressing them.Prerequisite: PS 100 or PS 101.Offered: Once a year.
