Course Description
Supervised application of psychological principles and techniques in appropriate settings. Intended to provide students a stand-alone summer internship experience with the academic requirements fulfilled in the following fall semester by mandatory enrollment in PS 480, PS 482, PS 486, or PS 494. The number of hours worked in summer will dictate the number of academic credits appropriate for fall registration. Arrangements for the practicum site need to be completed, in consultation with the instructor, in the preceding spring semester. The instructor may help in securing a practicum, but ultimate responsibility belongs to the student. Student must be returning to the university in the fall In order to be eligible for the summer practicum and must sign a contract of acceptance of expectations and responsibilities before the start of the semester. Can be repeated once. Prerequisite: Permission of Instructor. Offered: Summer.
