Course Description
This combination 0-credit (Fall) and 1-credit (Spring) class is to prepare students for an immersion experience in El Salvador and to the US/MX border, and to accompany them as they process what they experienced when they return from the immersion AR 160A will provide students with an opportunity to learn about the complex historical, social, economic, and political realities facing Salvadorans. It will also provide students with an in-depth immersive experience where they will learn directly from the Salvadoran people and from those at the US/MX border. After the immersion experience, students will reflect on how this experience can be carried forward into their daily life at John Carroll University, into their future careers, and beyond.
