Course Description
This combination 0-credit (Fall) and 1-credit (Spring) class is to prepare students for an immersion experience in El Salvador and to the US/MX border, and to accompany them as they process what they experienced when they return from the immersion AR 160A/B will provide students with an opportunity to learn about the complex historical, social, economic, and political realities facing Salvadorans. It will also provide students with an in-depth immersive experience where they will learn directly from the Salvadoran people and from those at the US/MX border. After the immersion experience, students will reflect on how this experience can be carried forward into their daily life at John Carroll University, into their future careers, and beyond.
