IMMERSION: NORTH CAROLINA TEXTILE INDUSTRY

This 1-credit class is to prepare students for an immersion experience to the North Carolina Textile Industry with Industrial Commons and to accompany them as they process what they experienced when they return from the immersion. AR 160R will provide students with an opportunity to learn about the complex historical, social, economic, environmental, and political realities facing the garment industry after NAFTA. It will also provide students with an in-depth immersive experience where they will learn directly from the workers. After the immersion experience, students will reflect on how this experience can be carried forward into their daily life at John Carroll.
