CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING PRACTICUM

100 placement hours (40 in direct client contact). Application of appropriate treatment modalities and understanding of service provision paradigms. Includes video and audio taping, individual and group supervision, case consultation, and legal and ethical issues. Application required a semester before starting the course (see Practicum/Internship Handbook). Prerequisite: CG 500 and CG 562; CG 535 may be taken prior CG 591 to or concurrently. A minimum grade of B- is required for CG 562.
