Course Description
Independent research in Statistics under the direction of a faculty member. May be repeated for credit, but at most three credits of DATA 498 or DATA 499 may be used to satisfy an upper-division elective for the major or minor in Data Science, or the minor in Statistics and Analytics. Satisfactory presentation of the results at a scientific meeting, department seminar, or University forum is ordinarily expected. Prerequisite: Varies depending on topic.
