Course Description
Understanding development, birth through age 12 across, developmental domains, including social-emotional development. Examination of the influence of home and early childhood environmental factors, including the effects of trauma, toxic stress, and other environmental variables on child and young adolescent learning. Exploration of different types of play, teacher roles during play, and how play connects with different domains. Fieldwork in diverse settings. *Does not require admission into the Teacher Education Program. Crosslisted with PS 261.Prerequisite or corequisite: ED 100 (min grade C).Offered: Spring.
