Prerequisite or corequisite: ED 255 (min grade of C).Examines language development in various stages across the life span. Language development with focus on the grapho-phonemic, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic systems as they relate to literacy instruction. Examination of relevant topics such as literacy development, phonemic awareness, metalinguistic awareness, and lexical knowledge. Includes field experience.Offered: Spring and Summer
