HUM: FRENCH WRITERS OVERSEAS

Taught in French. Introduction to literature and artistic production in recent decades of French-speaking countries and post-colonial cultures, which forms a body of work quite distinct from literature written in France itself. Selection of key authors of the francophone world (Maghreb, Sub-Saharan Africa, Oceania, Asia, the Americas, and French-speaking Europe). Prerequisite: FR 201, equivalent, or demonstrable intermediate-mid proficiency.
