Course Description
Taught in French. Investigation of paradoxical understandings of French women from medieval times to today as monsters, witches, "daughter's of Eve," "sisters of the Virgin Mary," monster women, etc. in selected texts and films. Prerequisite: FR 201, equivalent, or demonstrable intermediate-mid proficiency.
