LINK: LITERATURE OF THE HOLOCAUST

Examines the systematic persecution of Jews by National Socialists and sympathizers in creative cultural products of the 20th century. Focuses on identity construction of the self and other, the preservation of human dignity, empathy, moral decision-making, and appropriate media for bearing witness to atrocity through analysis of European and American literary works. Prerequisite: EN 125 or equivalent. Corequisite: HS 336.
