Course Description
Independent research in mathematics under the direction of a faculty member. May be repeated for credit, but at most three credits of MT 498 or MT 499 may be used to satisfy an upper-division elective for the major or minor in Mathematics. Satisfactory presentation of the results at a scientific meeting, department seminar, or University forum is ordinarily expected.Prerequisite: Chair permission.
