Life, career, and teaching of the civil-rights leader and Christian theologian, Martin Luther King, Jr. Sources of King’s unique theology; analysis of speeches and writings; King’s relationship to other thinker-activists of his time, such as Mohandas K. Gandhi and Malcolm X; milestones of justice and peace; connections and comparisons with the contemporary “Black Lives Matter” movement.Prerequisite: EN 125 or equivalent.
