Introduction to the non-canonical writings of formative Judaism and early Christianity. Intensive study of selections from the intertestamental, apocryphal, and pseudepigraphical literature of the Old and New Testaments; the Mishnaic and later Talmudic literature; and the writings of early Christian authors. Does not satisfy the Jesuit Heritage TRS Core requirement.Prerequisite: TRS Majors, TRS Minors, Graduate Students (MA or Certificate), or those with permission from Department Chair.
